Our Purpose, Vision & Mission

Purpose: To be His presence in every place in our city and beyond.
Vision: To be a movement that transforms the lives of individuals and communities through the power of the gospel.
Mission: To raise and equip followers of Christ who love people, serve our city, and plant and grow faith communities.

Eldership is a sacred calling of spiritual oversight (Acts 20:28), servant-hearted shepherding (1 Peter 5:1–4), and doctrinal guardianship (Titus 1:9).

Please tick Yes or No and briefly describe where you have personally observed this quality.

Shepherding the Whole Flock

Elders are called to "keep watch over yourselves and all the flock" - not just particular ministries, demographic groups, or affinity circles.

Guarding Against Partisanship

Elders are not elected as representatives of specific demographics (e.g. age group, ministry area, cultural group or interest group).

Scripture calls Elders to:

  • Serve as stewards of God's household (Titus 1:7)
  • Avoid factions and divisions (1 Corinthians 1:10-13)
  • Teach with humility and accountability (James 3:1)
  • Shepherd willingly and eagerly, not under compulsion (1 Peter 5:2-3)

Final Discernment

Closing Reflection

The calling to Eldership is no political, positional or representative. It is pastoral, spiritual and accountable before Christ, the Chief Shepherd (1 Peter 5:4).

Thank you for prayerfully contributing to this discernment process.  As we seek leaders who reflect the character of Christ, we trust the Holy Spirit to guide His Church faithfully.
