Volunteer Requirements
Anyone desiring to be a Life Group Host must be known by an Elder, Ministry Leader or member of Staff for at least six (6) months and have been in regular attendance at the Church for at least six (6) months, as detailed in our Volunteer Recruitment Policy. Alternatively, the volunteer must provide contact details of a Pastor who has known them for at least six months.
Working With Children Check Requirement
All volunteers are required to hold a current Working With Children Check (if aged 18 years and over) nominating the church as an organisation they volunteer with, whether working directly with children or not.
It is important that you add the Church as an organisation you volunteer with to your Working With Children Check details online - please click here (which opens in a new tab) to update your details with the following details.

NOTE: A confirmation letter/email will be sent to the Church verifying that this has been completed, this must be received prior to commencing in your role.
We require you to obtain a WWCC before you can commence as a Life Group Host.

TEACHERS MUST COMPLETE THIS:
All registered teachers who volunteer at Berwick Church of Christ, must notify Working With Children Check Victoria (WWCCV) of this volunteer work. Please note, if you do child-related work outside your teaching role without notifying WWCCV, it's an offence carrying penalties.

I declare that I have read and understand the Code of Conduct, and I agree that in the course of my association with the Berwick Church of Christ that I will undertake to conduct myself in accordance with the principles of this Code of Conduct and I agree to surrender my leadership if I am unable to fulfil my responsibilities. I also understand that disciplinary measures and/or legal steps may be taken if I am found to be in breach of the Code of Conduct, and I agree to resign from my role/position whether it is a voluntary or paid staff role/position if requested.
